I am participating in the #100DaysofUI challenge to sharpen my visual UI design skills.

 

Some learnings so far...

• Keep it simple. While it's important to push boundaries, there's value in familiarity.

• Grids! Grids are a powerful way to keep your work orderly and accessible. I have begun to understand their usefulness; when to follow and when to break.

• Aesthetics. Forever a debate within the community, I believe aesthetics play an important role in the user experience. Focusing on elements such as color theory, hierarchy, white space, and typography has improved my personal aesthetic as a designer.

 

While most of these designs don't come with concrete research, I spent time on each project considering user needs and information architecture.
